Alief Baptist Academy offers early childhood
development through its Toddler, Pre-K and Kindergarten programs.
Our early childhood classrooms are staffed to nurture the
inquisitive and imaginative nature of early childhood students and to
instill in them a love for learning, exploring, creating, questioning,
and researching.
As a Christian educational
facility, the Word of God is the basis for our existence.
Students learn about God and Godly principles through biblical stories,
songs, affirmations and our weekly chapel services. |
Our students language skills, English and Spanish, are
enhanced through oral communication, phonics, writing, vocabulary,
personal reading, teacher story time, singing, and pre-reading
activities. Our school climate is a supportive learning
community where even the very youngest of our students are encouraged to
actively participate in all aspects of their education.
The foundation of mathematical and scientific reasoning is achieved
through opportunities to identify and create patterns and relationships.
Students count, sort, measure, construct, compose, decompose, organize,
question, and much more as they move toward procedural and conceptual
understanding.
The early childhood years are essential to building a solid foundation
of learning and social development. Students will have an
opportunity to learn about themselves, their communities, and their
world. Social studies topics may include: developing
biblical characteristics, developing meaningful relationships with
family, self, and others, learning how to be a good friend, interesting
stories, people, places, and the importance of diversity.
We believe that an integrated approach to learning will provide all of
our students an opportunity to excel at their level. Therefore,
Spanish, music, art, library, computer and physical education will be
integrated into our curriculum at each age level.
