including finger prints, will be
conducted on all applicants for all
positions at ABA . It
is ABA’s policy that a conviction or
deferred adjudication for any
Felony or Class A or B Misdemeanor bears
directly upon an applicant’s
qualifications and ability to teach or
perform jobs involving children in any
manner:
a.
A
conviction or deferred adjudication for
any Felony, sexual offense or offense
against a child younger than 17 WILL
preclude employment at ABA and be
grounds for immediate termination of any
employee of ABA .
b.
A
conviction or deferred adjudication for
any Class A or B Misdemeanor not
involving a sexual offense or offense
against a child MAY preclude employment
at ABA . The
Administration’s determination of
whether an applicant’s criminal history
may bar employment is final.
A conviction or
deferred adjudication for any of such
offenses will preclude employment at ABA
, and be grounds for immediate
termination of any employee of ABA .
There will be no
need for an employee who maintains
employment with Alief Baptist Academy to
complete an annual FBI background
investigation. The
Center Coordinator will have an
electronic file with all employee
information including date of hire and
any updates needed.
